The hospital tried to soothe his discomfort with common lotions, but it often left his skin waxy without alleviation. She was mortified when she learned of the industrial chemicals in the commercialized lotions they provided her husband, from sulfates to petroleum. Krisana refused to stand idly by as her husband endured rounds of chemotherapy and brought it upon herself to formulate a skincare treatment to ease his pain. She discovered many all-natural brands sacrificed efficacy for the idealism of being “100% Natural and Organic” or had dozens of products for a single symptom. However, Krisana new she could innovate; inspired by her childhood in Thailand, it was important to keep her skincare as natural and effective as possible.
Her lotion soothed and brought peace to not only her husband, but many others in the hospital in their time of need. After her husband passed, she reminisced over the sheer awe and beauty of the rainforests and landscape of her native home, the simplicity of life, and the importance of family. Now a single mother and faced with putting her son through college without, she took the lessons and research from her tribulation with her late-husband’s cancer, and formulated a line of minimalist skincare everyone can use.
After several years, Krisana created a minimalist well-rounded skincare regiment for people of all ages and skin types. Her focus is being result-driven with simple, quality ingredients, while remaining accessible to everyone. However, Krisana Vigus goes beyond skin health, and prioritizes her sustainability efforts to keep the planet beautiful as well. As a manufacturer, she believes it is her responsibility to educate consumers on the environmental impacts of their products, and to do her part in the community to reduce our carbon footprint. Krisana strives to keep our Earth healthy for generations to come, to have her granddaughter experience Mother Nature as she did in the forests of Thailand.
